Yamaha YHT-390

$400.00 Released February, 2008

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Includes decent standalone receiver (HTR-6130). Value-priced system. Includes speaker wire.

The Cons:No audio processing over HDMI (no LPCM, no high-definition audio decoding). No video upconversion or upscaling of analog inputs. Included speaker wire is not high quality.

The budget entry to Yamaha's YHT line, the Yamaha YHT-390 home theater system offers a somewhat stripped down roster of features, but the same 5.1 surround sound experience. The receiver still features both Dolby Digital and dts Digital Surround, as well as Yamaha's proprietary CinemaDSP processing, which manages each speaker individually for more accurate reproduction of the original sound.
