The Yamaha DVX-700 is a digital integrated front surround system that falls at the top of Yamaha's line of Air Surround home theatre systems. The Air Surround system system is derived from Yamaha's expertise in Digital Sound field Processing (DSP) and the use of sound reflections to create a surround listening experience using only 2 front speakers and a subwoofer.

  There are several connections including HDMI for HD sources, a USB port and an optional iPod dock for full iPod connectivity. It is also Bluetooth compabtible with optional dock and is XM or Sirius radio ready with optional tuner kits. The main unit can play DVD and CD discs and can read DivX or MP3 files from a disc or the USB drive. Some audio formats featured are Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II and DTS digital surround and the Cinema DSP Digital helps give much more advanced surround sound effects.
