The Sony BDV-IT1000ES is a high-powered, 5.1-channel Blu-ray Disc player / Home Theater System consisting of a Blu-ray player, an Xross Media Bar, four surround speakers, a subwoofer, and a wireless transmitter.

It supports Full HD 1080p resolution (dual HDMI in), DVD Upscaling (to 1080p), 24p True Cinema, and BD-Live. Included also are IR in/outs for connecting and controlling additional compatible HD sources. At its core, this system relies on the S-AIR Digital Wireless capability—this lets users fill multiple rooms in their house with sound from the primary unit. Also note the unit’s Xross Media Bar, which hosts a graphical user interface for intuitive and easy-to-understand operation of the whole system.
