Initially situated as a mid-range system, as of the summer of 2009 its features are more akin to those of lower-end systems in the Samsung home theater lineup; a lack of Blu-ray compatibility is an example of this. The HT-X715T produces a total sound output of 800 watts which is still decidedly mid-range by 2009 standards when compared to the lower-end HT-X710.
The HT-X715's speaker system is compatible with the majority of mainstream DVD and CD discs and comes with both CD and DVD writers. The HT-X715T features resolution upscaling technology to take advantage of High Definition televisions. Bluetooth technology is used to wirelessly connect the speakers to the hub as well as provide for the use of other external bluetooth devices. Also contained in this package are a universal remote and an iPod docking station. Wall mounting brackets for the speakers and subwoofer are included. As of June 2009, The HT-X715T is no longer available from the manufacturer however it can be found in both new and used forms from secondary sources such as the websites listed below.
