Samsung HT-TX52

$399.00 Released October, 2001

Product Shot 1The Samsung HT-TX52 home theatre system pairs a 1000 watt receiver and 5-disc DVD player with a full 5.1 surround speaker set-up. One of Samsung's earlier HDMI-supported offerings, it makes use of a precurser to the Anynet+ connectivity found on their newer systems, which allows for other connected HDMI devices to be controlled by a single remote, simplifying playback.

The receiver also features a USB Host Play port for interfacing with USB media devices, as well as a standard stereo auxilliary input, easily accessible from the front panel.

  • HDMI-CEC connectivity with other HDMI devices

Anonymous: #samsung_ht_tx52 about 3 years old, has started shutting off automatically after 10 of 15 mins and the screen says 'protection'. It's not hot.....but is a new stand with a backing on as apposed to before was just glass shelves and no back. Any suggestions? It's becoming a pain!!! Aug 22, 11

Anonymous: mine did the same thing, seems like this unit has overheating issues... bought a receiver instead of fixing for the 2nd time.... costly to repair versus buying something new Dec 25, 11

Erik: Receivers can start as low as $150 new, and they can easily go up into the thousands. For something of this caliber, I would say you're looking at around $200-250. Dec 14, 10
