The Pros:Progressive scan technology looks great even on a normal tv. Decoding of Dolby Digital 5.1 is high-definition, sounds crisp and lively. Support for a good range of digital audio formats.
The Cons:Need to play with the aspect ratio settings to get it to look right on a 4:3 display. Prone to component failure within the first year or two. Need a proper sound system or understanding of audio encoding to get voices to be properly audible.
