Samsung HT-BD7200
$800.00
Released January, 2009
The Pros:System is easy to set up, only takes a few minutes. Netflix and Pandora work smoothly, stream well in high definition. Sounds rich and full at medium to high volumes.
The Cons:Doesn't create a surround effect, although the stereo separation is good. Compatibility problems with several online services such as YouTube and Blockbuster On Demand. Discontinued - unlikely to see a firmware update for it.
The Samsung HT-BD7200 is a 2.1 (two speakers plus subwoofer) home theater system announced at CES 2009 in Las Vegas. This 400-watt system from Samsung includes the front speakers and a subwoofer only, as it relies on simulated surround sound to achieve a 5.1 effect.
