The Pros:Surround sound effect is excellent, creates a sense of space. Clarity and detail in the audio are perfect for movies, brings out effects and dialog really well. Bass support is good enough for rumbling sound effects.
The Cons:Music listening suffers a bit with some weak areas in the audio. Blu-ray player takes a long time to load a new disc. No system built in for balancing the speakers properly.
The HD-BD2 is Samsung's entry to the relatively new Blu-Ray-oriented home theatre market, and was indeed the first available for sale by any manufacturer. It features 1100 watts (RMS) output through a full 7.1 channel surround speaker system with Dolby True HD and dts-HD compatibility for powerful and accurate sound.
