The Pros:Speaker system has a fair amount of power, can fill a medium room. Good clarity from the audio, can hear dialog at lower volumes fairly well.
The Cons:DVD player tends to start locking up if there's a small flaw in the DVD, needs to be unplugged to be reset. Some sync problems with audio and video. Player emits a lot of heat, needs good ventilation.
The RCA RTD255 is an affordable all-in-one 5.1 surround sound theater system offered by RCA. The complete package includes a 5-disc DVD player/receiver, a 90 watt subwoofer, four 55 watt satellite speakers (front/rear - right/left) and a 90 watt center channel.

The 5-disc DVD/CD player can play a variety of disc types, including recordable discs with MP3, WMA or JPEG pictures and has an ultra compact design. The receiver has Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1, Dolby Pro Logic and Dolby Pro Logic II decoding to give surround sound to the 6 speakers, even from a stereo source. It features progressive scanning 480p resolution with a component video out, as well as an S-video and composite output. There is a pair of RCA audio inputs letting you connect two extra audio devices. Other features include two built in compression modes for night viewing, a built in AM/FM tuner and an included remote control.
