The single-disc CD/DVD player uses upscaling technology to provide a full 1080p high definition signal even from standard 480p DVDs via HDMI, and features a high-capacity internal hard drive for storage of digital media. Equally impressive is the Panasonic Twin Center technology, which integrates the centre channel into the left and right speakers, rather than a devoted centre speaker, featuring Dolby virtual speaker technology and built-in digital re-mastering for enhanced playback of MP3 and WMA music. The SC-PTX7 also supports Panasonic's wireless multi-room speaker kit for easy listening from any room in the house, and includes a Universal iPod dock for home listening.
