Both devices will feature an integrated and universal iPod dock that will play all types of media on a television (audio, video and photos). When compared to the step-down model, the SC-PT770 comes bundled with a wireless rear speaker setup; but it is important to note the setup is optional for the lower end model and can be added in. The speaker system is comprised of unique Bamboo cone speakers and a 1,000 watt output Kelton subwoofer (only included in the higher end bundle) which Panasonic claims will deliver "a sensational audio performance". Both devices also contain a single power saving processor chip, the "Uniphier", which can save up to 20% when compared to Panasonic's previous home theater models (SC-PT760, SC-PT660). The SC-PT770 is a continuation of Panasonic's previously released SC-PTx60 series; the 770 device features additional options similar to the SC-PT760 upon release. The Panasonic SC-PT770 has a suggested MSRP of $399.95 and was released in Spring 2009.

Anonymous: #panasonic_sc_pt770 This system is not capable of using the Aux setting so you can have surround sound only when wanted for listening to the TV when using a HD Samsung big screen tv... IT is either always surround sound on the tv or not at all. A real drwaback since so many movies are available on pay per view.... Nov 29, 10
