The Cons:Remote is a little confusing, takes some getting used to. Many of the functions are hard to find or figure out how they work, need to read the manual for them.

The Panasonic SC-HT700 is an entry level all in one 5.1 surround sound home theater system offered by Panasonic. The package consists of a 5 disc DVD/CD player / recevier, a powered 140 watt subwoofer, four 30 watt speakers (two front, two rear surround) and a 110 watt center speaker.

The satellite speakers can be wall mounted with the built in wall mounting holes and nuts, and speakers are magnetically shielded. To keep the receiver nice and slim at 2.5 inches high, all the amplifiers have been placed in the subwoofer.  The DVD player/receiver can play nearly all disc formats including DVD, CD, DVD-Audio and writable discs, and has encoders for Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic and DTS Dolby surround sound. There is a component video out and three audio inputs for other devices, and there is also a built in AM/FM digital synthesizer tuner tuner. Other features include depth enhancer, dialogue enhancer, cinema mode and a universal remote control.
