The Pros:Easy to set up, everything is well labelled and simple to hook up. Surround sound effect is very good, creates a 3D feeling. Speakers are fairly small, easy to fit them in a smaller space.
The Cons:Remote will only work on Panasonic TVs, doesn't have an Eject button. Prone to overheating and component failure within the year of ownership. No HDMI, digital Coax or digital Optical inputs.
The Panasonic SC-HT440 is an 850 watt, all-in-one 5.1 channel surround system offered by Panasonic with a budget friendly price. The package consists of a 5-disc DVD player/AV receiver, a 225 watt subwoofer with 160mm driver, two 90 watt front speakers with a full range 65mm driver, two 90 watt rear spearks also with a full range 65mm driver and a 225 watt center speaker with dual full range 65mm drivers.

The receiver has built in decoders of DTS decoder, Dolby Digital and Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound audio. The DVD player/AV receiver can play audio CDs and DVDs as well as burnable discs including MP3, WMA, WMV and JPEG photo discs, and also has a built in AM/FM tuner. There are component, s-video and composite video outputs as well as two RCA and a mini-jack audio input. The rear speakers can be connected wirelessly using an optional wireless receiver, and it is also ready for wireless connection to a second room with optional kit. There are 5 subwoofer level options, which can be controlled via the included remote control.
