Product Shot 1 The Pros:Plenty of sound output, enough volume for smaller or medium sized rooms. Good support for Dolby Digital and DTS, outputs very clear audio that reveals the details. Good range of input options, including both Coax and Optical and support for legacy setups.

The Cons:Setup is a bit tricky, need to refer to the instructions as you go. Speakers come with cables attached, can't replace them.

The Panasonic SC-HT40 is a 800 watt 5.1 channel surround system offered by Panasonic with a budget friendly price.  The package consists of a 5.1 channel receiver, a 220 watt subwoofer with 160mm driver, two 90 watt front speakers with a full range 65mm driver, two 90 watt rear spearks also with a full range 65mm driver and a 220 watt center speaker with dual full range 65mm drivers.

The receiver has built in decoders of DTS decoder , Dolby Digital and Dolby Pro Logic II surround sound audio.  This is an audio-only receiver with two RCA, two optical, one coaxial and one mini-jack audio input and there is also a built in AM/Fm tuner. The rear speakers can be connected wirelessly using an optional wireless receiver, and it is also ready for wireless connection to a second room with optional kit.  There are 5 subwoofer level options, which can be controlled via the included remote control.
