It has 3  HDMI™ pass-thru inputs for high-definition video, this allows Blu-ray Disc, DVD, broadcast, and gaming sources to plug in. It has tailored audio performance via a full suite of Audssey technologies, including Audyssey EQ™, Audyssey Dynamic EQ™, and Audyssey Dynamic Volume™. It integrates with iPod® or MP3 player via a front-panel input, and has Onkyo’s new DSP modes for gaming: Rock, Sports, Action, or Role Playing Game (RPG).

The Onkyo HT-S3200 compares favorably to the package Yamaha announced recently. The HT-S3200 offers one more HDMI input over the comparable priced Yamaha YHT-391BL, although Yamaha's system steps-up to two-way satellite speakers. Neither system features automatic speaker calibration, which seems like an oversight even on these inexpensive systems.
