The Pros:Plenty of power for a medium sized room in the home. Great clarity, brings out the details really well. Subwoofer has plenty of power, can really bring out the sound effects.
The Cons:Not enough power for larger rooms. Takes a long time to load a disc before it starts playing.
The JVC TH-A5 is a 235 watt 5.1 home theater system in a box offered by JVC. The system is comprised of a 5.1 channel AV receiver / DVD player, a 60 watt subwoofer, one 35 watt center channel speaker and four 35 watt satellite speakers (front/rear, left/right).

It has Dolby Digital and DTS decoding to give a true home theater experience with 5.1 surround sound. The built in DVD player can play a variety of disc formats including CD, DVD, CD-R/RW, VCD's and MP3 cd's. The receiver hasa a component output for high quality video output as well as composite and s-video outs. Other features include a Digital Acoustic Processor (DAP)for 2 channel sources with 5 modes and easy speaker installation with single, color coded cables. The JVC TH-A5 also features an AM/FM stereo tuner and comes with a remote control.
