JVC DS-TP450
$299.00
Released January, 2002
The Pros:Provides powerful, balanced audio outputting - clear sound reproduction and exceptional volume handling enable a cinematic home theater experience. Dedicated powered subwoofer provides excellent low-end frequency support - 120-watt design offers round, robust bass outputting. Excellent overall value at the price point - build quality, wattage, frequency response and number of components put the system on-par with higher-priced units from Onkyo and Yamaha.
The Cons:Remote is not capable of controlling external devices - many users will be forced to purchase a separate universal remote in the interest of convenience. Lacks S-Video connectivity - may cause frustration amongst users hoping to connect a disc player or gaming console directly into the system.
