The Pros:Rounded, modern aesthetic looks great. Compact and lightweight - can be comfortably placed almost anywhere. Setup is quick and painless - connect the antennae and speakers and plug in the main unit.
The Cons:Speaker cables feature proprietary plugs, making replacing them a bit difficult. Bass performance is quite weak as no subwoofer is included.
Though advertised as a home theater system, the Denon S-81 is more accurately an audio reciever system capable of being used in a home theater set up. It features a 100 watt two-speaker system, and its reciever has a built-in CD player, also capable of playing MP3 or WMA-9 encoded disks, and uses 24-bit/192kHZ DACs.

It is capable of hooking up to an Ipod via an Ipod cable or an optional Ipod dock, and is XM Radio ready. There are two auxillary audio inputs at the back of the unit and one digital optical input.
